New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community
We live in a country where politics has broken us. We need people in our government to unite us instead of divide us. While there are many polarizing issues that we are passionate about for our own reasons, as a country we need to come together and listen to one another without lessening the value of another's opinion. It is my position to listen to the constituents that I will represent and fight for the positions that matter most for our district.
I feel there is a difference in helping those who can't help themselves, and those that won't help themselves. As a child, the deck was stacked against me. I took a life of lemons and made lemonade. I bounced from home to home from the time my mother passed away when I was 5 until I was living on my own at 17. My biological family were addicts and were looking to my social security check to feed their habits. I never let the circumstances in my life define my future. I am proud to say that I managed to make it off of the government assisted programs that I needed to make ends meet as a single mom, to being someone capable of supporting my children without help.
I believe in the American Dream, that if your are willing to work hard, you can be successful. There are always going to be set backs, but how you bounce back is the true testament of a person's character.
